This is the behind-the-scenes of building Rhāyo written by its founder, Jasmine Diaz.
The pivots, the product decisions, the conversations that changed the direction of everything. Real updates from someone who left a career in matchmaking to fix the one industry that needed it most.
We increased our candidate waitlist by 35% since last week, and have met 21.6% of our May 2026 candidate waitlist goal. This is incredible. 🎉
This tells me that Rhāyo is solving a real problem that goes beyond just a thought in my mind. Since then, we've commenced employer partner outreach, finalized our candidate and recruiter dashboards, and are putting the final touches to our Fit Engine℠.
There's a lot to be proud of here, but what people don't know about starting a business after previously having one is that the FEAR IS REAL. It's terrifying starting over after a business failure. However, I am smarter and more equipped than ever before.
When I started DDG in 2009, I had no idea what I was doing. For years, I made the same mistakes over and over, and burned some bridges along the way. Now 16 years later, I can navigate around those mistakes, and take years of know-how into my new venture. I'm starting at five instead of zero. Old me would be impressed.
So, here's to another week of hustle and grind.

In 7 days, we have 40x-ed our waitlist. It's incredible to witness both a painpoint and an idea grow in such a short time.
If you're new here: Rhāyo is a chemistry-first recruiting platform that delivers great talent to your inbox. No resumes. No application roulette. Think of us as Discovery Weekly but for hiring.
I created Rhāyo after a career pivot from professional matchmaking to TV casting left me unemployed for two years. The system is not designed to notice the gems; the people whose experience doesn't fit tightly into a single job title or keyword. Who else better to fix a broken system than a person who has spent their career finding and curating great talent.
Our goal is to waitlist 500 candidates and 75 employers/hiring managers by May. It's incredibly ambitious, but I think we can pull it off with your help.
WILL YOU BE THE KEY TO CHANGE?
📍If you're a hiring manager looking for a new way to source talent, let's talk. You know something's off. You want to unplug from the matrix, but don't know how. We send qualified talent profiles to your inbox using our Fit Engine℠. No resumes. No application roulette. Interview/hire your top choice(s). Everyone wins. My DM's are open if you want to learn more, or skip the talk and join the waitlist at thisisrhayo.com

Someone once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Rhāyo is the change we want to see.

Let me walk you through the most insane 72 hours of my founder life.
Rhāyo is a chemistry-first hiring platform. Think of us as Discovery Weekly but for hiring. We deliver the best talent to your inbox on demand. No resumes, all vibes.
Here's what happened when we launched on Threads:
1️⃣ Day 1: We went live. Our waitlist started moving almost immediately, and damn it we were thrilled!
But then...
We lost our account.
Just like that. It was gone. 😭
With no warning.
Everything I had posted and all of our scheduled posts were gone FOREVER! The momentum we were building. Over.
I'm not gonna lie, starting over when your hopes are high feels like a massive personal failure. I stayed up until 2am trying to negotiate with support to regain our account, but it was gone. I sobbed. This was the one good thing I had going for me all year (dramatic but true after the year I've had).
Then, I wiped my tears and got back to work.
2️⃣ Day 2: We rebuilt our Threads from scratch a few hours later, and here's the part that I KNOW is from a higher power:
In 72 hours, our waitlist grew by over 26x (2,650%) after losing the entire account. PRAISE HIM! 🙏🏾 Because your girl did not have it in her to start over again, AGAIN.
So, if you're starting over and waiting for the right moment to launch, this is your sign that it's never too late. It may be a pain, but the outcome could be even greater.
We're building something that will change the way hiring works, and I hope you will join us for the ride. Our white paper The Unseen Majority drops tomorrow, but shoot me a message at hello@rhayo.co and I will send it to you early.
